NewsRoom.ie indexes and organises local journalism from participating Irish publishers. Stories are grouped by county and category to help readers discover reporting relevant to them.

We may add, remove, correct, suspend or change content, sources, categories and website features at any time. We do not promise that every eligible story will appear or that the website will always be available without interruption.

The underlying reporting belongs to its original publisher or other identified rights holder. Publisher names, journalist credits and source links are displayed with stories. Photographs belonging to publishers are not republished by NewsRoom.ie.

Where audio or other media is made publicly available by a publisher, NewsRoom.ie may provide playback from the publisher’s own service. The publisher remains responsible for that media and may change or withdraw it.

You may use NewsRoom.ie for personal, lawful, non-commercial reading and discovery. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful software, scrape it in a way that disrupts service, misrepresent its content, or use it to infringe another person’s rights.

We aim to present source material accurately, but headlines, dates, county labels, categories and extracted text may be produced automatically and can contain errors. The original publisher’s page is the authoritative version. Nothing on NewsRoom.ie is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice.

The NewsRoom.ie name, presentation, original artwork, software and original editorial material are owned by or licensed to Heart Media Ltd. No rights are transferred to you except the limited right to use the website under these terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heart Media Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on NewsRoom.ie or a linked service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or affects your mandatory consumer rights.

We may update these terms and will publish the revised date on this page. These terms are governed by Irish law, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere.
