New use for vacant building

Tipperary Co Council has received a plan to open a Pilates studio at a former pub in Nenagh.

An application in the name of Claire Halpin seeks a change of use of the ground floor of the vacant former ‘Dowlings public house’ on the corner of Kenyon St and Stafford St to commercial/Pilates studio use, together with all associated site works. The proposed studio is to operate on a “strictly appointment-based schedule with limited class sizes and opening hours typically between early morning and early evening, significantly reducing footfall and eliminating late-night activity associated with the former use” of the building.

The council is due to decide on the application by February 4..
