Jamie Ryan headed to the Tearmann Community Gardens in Baltinglass for the West Wicklow Mental Health Association’s Connect Café, where local volunteers are helping tackle isolation, reduce stigma around mental health and connect people with supports available across the region.

The West Wicklow Mental Health Association is helping people connect through its Connect Café initiative, creating welcoming spaces where people can enjoy a cup of tea, have a chat and learn about local mental health supports. Jamie Ryan visited the latest Connect Café in the Tearmann Community Gardens in Baltinglass to hear how volunteers are working to reduce stigma, tackle isolation and remind people that support is never far away.
