A man has been charged with a public order offence at the Bundoran Adventure Park.

Nathan Coughlan appeared before Judge Éiteáin Cunningham at Ballyshannon District Court in relation to the alleged incident on Wednesday last, September 16.

Coughlan, a 30-year-old of Single Street, Bundoran is charged with using or engaging in threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to provoke a breach of the peace or being reckless as to whether a breach of the peace may be occasioned.

The charge is contrary to section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.

Evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of Coughlan was given to the court by way of a schedule.

Ms Edel Sheerin of McIntyre O’Brien Solicitors told the court that they have represented Coughlan in the past but, owing to the current strike, could not act on his behalf in court on this occasion.

Coughlan was present in court and Judge Cunningham adjourned the case until December.

Judge Cunningham advised Coughlan to be present in court on the next date.
