A safety audit is on the way for the entrances of two separate County Kildare housing estates.

The two entrances were highlighted by Fine Gael councillor Tracey O’Dwyer at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, May 20 last.

Within the first few minutes of the meeting, Cllr O’Dwyer motioned for Kildare County Council (KCC) to conduct the safety audits at the entrances to Mountain View and Blackrath Ridge.

In response to Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer’s request, KCC assured her that the Municipal District Office would carry out safety assessments at both locations in order to determine if additional works are required.
