Broken glass and rubbish were discarded at Ladies Bay in Buncrana for the second time in a week. The incident was highlighted and cleaned up by Buncrana Tidy Towns Initiative.

“Absolutely disgraceful to see this happening again,” Councillor Joy Beard said. “Fair play to Buncrana Tidy Towns for continuing to highlight it and for all the work you do to keep our beaches clean.

“Broken glass is not just litter, it’s a real danger, especially for children and anyone walking barefoot and dogs. It only takes a second for someone to be seriously injured.
“We all have a responsibility to respect these shared spaces. Please take your rubbish home and think of others using the beach. Thank you again to all the volunteers who give their time to keep Buncrana looking its best.”
