The topic initially arose when Labour Party Cllr Aoife Breslin submitted the following question: “Can KCC confirm if it plans to install measures to enhance the visibility for vehicles exiting from Abbeylands on to the L4009 in Castledermot ?”

Mr Dunne told her: “The MD have reviewed this entrance and are currently working through options to facilitate traffic calming on the exit as it is extremely difficult to improve sightlines.”

However, he added that KCC is currently in the process of seeking new signage for the aforementioned area.

Following this, Cllr Breslin replied by thanking Mr Dunne for visiting the region with her prior to the meeting.
