SEOLADH TIONSCNAMH NUA darbh ainm An Leabharlann Fháilteach ag Oireachtas na Samhna i mbliana.
Is í aidhm an tionscnaimh seo ná an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn i mbealach nádúrtha, feiceálach, beomhar i leabharlanna timpeall Baile Átha Cliath.
Is scéim ó Ghaeilge 365 í seo le tacaíocht ó Ghaelbhratach agus Gael Linn.
Déanfaidh foirne dátheangacha na leabharlanna a seacht ndícheall an Ghaeilge a chur chun cinn trí ócáidí éagsúla cosúil le ciorcal comhrá agus clubanna leabhair.
Labhair John Burke, leabharlannaí leis an Lárleabharlann i mBaile Átha Cliath, linn faoina hiarrachtaí atá déanta ag foireann na leabharlainne an Ghaeilge agus seirbhísí Gaeilge a neartú don phobal.
AN INNOVATIVE NEW project called ‘An Leabharlann Fháilteach’ (the welcoming library) was launched at this year’s Oireachtas na Samhna.
The scheme aims to promote the Irish language in a natural, visible and lively way in libraries across Dublin city.
It is supported by Gaeilge 365, Gaelbhratach and Gael Linn. Bilingual staff members across five Dublin libraries will promote the language and Irish language services through events such as conversation circles and book clubs.
John Burke, a librarian in Dublin Central Library, spoke to us about the efforts of staff members in Dublin Central Library to strengthen the presence of the Irish language for the public.
Tá tacaíocht á fháil ag Beartas Gaeltachta The Journal ón Scéim Tuairiscithe ar Dhaonlathas Áitiúil.
