Keadue has benefited from a major water mains upgrade, providing a more reliable and resilient water supply.

Works were carried out along the R259, from the Burtonport Junction to Keadue crossroads.

Delivered as part of Uisce Éireann ’s National Leakage Reduction Programme, the project involved the replacement of more than 3.6km of ageing cast iron water mains. New water service connections were also installed from the public water main in the road to customers’ property boundaries.

The completed works are now delivering tangible benefits for the local community, including improved reliability of supply, enhanced water quality and the elimination of leakage of treated water into the ground from old pipes.

The project was delivered by Farrans Construction on behalf of Uisce Éireann.
