Gardaí noticed a man urinating on the footpath in clear view of members of the public.

Darragh Murphy A father and son appeared in Waterford Courthouse last week for an incident which occurred in the early hours of June 21 in the city.

The two men, Mark Morrison and Justin Morrison, travelled from their home address in Dundonald Heights, Belfast, to attend the court hearing.

At 2:45am on Parnell Street, 19-year-old Justin Morrison was noticed by gardaí urinating on the footpath in clear view of members of the public.

Upon approaching the man, gardaí were confronted by his father, Mark Morrison, who began pushing and shoving them.

The pair’s defence solicitor, Mr. Ken Cunningham, said they travelled to Waterford that day to attend a sporting event. Mr. Cunningham said the repercussions from the night are still “reverberating around the kitchen table”.

His father, however, was ordered to pay €400 to the court poor box in order to have his charges struck out.
