Longford motorists advised of two week road closure

Granard’s Church Street between the N55 and the L-5134 at Granardkille will be closed from Friday, June 19, until Friday, July 3, from 7am-6pm each day.

Motorists in Granard are being advised of a temporary road closure to facilitate essential water works being carried out by Uisce Éireann .

According to Longford County Council , Church Street between the N55 and the L-5134 at Granardkille will be closed from Friday, June 19, until Friday, July 3.

Traffic management measures and signed diversions will be in place throughout the duration of the works, with local access to homes and businesses being maintained.

The council has also confirmed that bus services for students attending Árdscoil Phádraig will be accommodated through the closed section of road by suspending the works and marshalling them through.

Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time and follow all diversion signage while the works are underway.
