A woman who is accused of stealing €256 worth of tops, dresses, coats and jeans from Penneys has been granted bail on condition that she stay out of the Square Shopping Centre. A woman who is accused of stealing €256 worth of tops, dresses, coats and jeans from Penneys has been granted bail on condition that she stay out of the Square Shopping Centre.

Lisa Gannon (45), of Rathgeale, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, was before Tallaght District Court charged with theft at Penneys, The Square Shopping Centre, Tallaght, on 26 February last.

Garda Sean Foley told Tallaght District Court that the accused allegedly passed all points of payment at approximately 11am yesterday with goods valued at €256.

He said the items were described as a “mix of everything” – including tops, dresses, coats and jeans.

The court heard Ms Gannon was arrested and cautioned in the usual manner.

When the charge was put to her, she replied: “I’m sorry”, the court was told.

Garda Foley said he had no objection to bail provided Ms Gannon stay away from The Square Shopping Centre.

Judge Patricia McNamara granted bail on that condition and remanded Ms Gannon on bail on her own bond of €250.

The case was adjourned for four weeks to the Criminal Courts of Justice on Tuesday, 31 March.
