The delivery of a footpath in one County Kildare location 'would be challenging'.

Kildare County Council (KCC) made the comments in response to a motion which was heard at the latest Clane - Maynooth Municipal District meeting, which took place on Friday, September 4 last.

Replying to her motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “The delivery of a footpath at this location would be challenging in view of the significant environmental and physical constraints on this section of road.”

“It would not be helpful to carry out an estimate of the costs when there is no realistic chance of delivering a footpath in the short-term,” KCC added.

However, KCC also told Cllr Feeney that its Transport Department ‘is willing to discuss alternative options’ with her in relation to the potential future of the feature.
