The Future of Sustainable Farming in Tipperary – Beef Production

Beef farming remains at the heart of agriculture in County Tipperary, supporting thousands of farm families while contributing significantly to the local economy and rural communities. However, the sector is facing a period of unprecedented change, with increasing pressure to improve environmental performance, embrace new technologies and maintain profitability in a challenging marketplace.

In week four of Tipp FM’s special series, The Future of Sustainable Farming, Ag-Report presenter Jim Finn examines the future of beef production and the role it will play in delivering a sustainable agricultural sector for generations to come.

Joining the programme is researcher Peter Doyle, who discusses the key challenges and opportunities facing beef farmers today.
