'We can only go as fast as Dunnes are going to go' - News - Waterford News & Star

Ferrybank Shopping Centre on the outskirts of Waterford city has lain idle since its development during the Celtic Tiger

Caroline Spencer The latest news on Ferrybank Shopping Centre is...no news.

At the Piltown Municipal District meeting in Slieverue, Director of Services for Kilkenny County Council Ian Gardner gave the latest update on the empty, embattled shopping centre.

According to Mr. Gardner, owner Dunnes Stores have not responded to Council's queries over the future of the centre.

Councillor Ger Frisby said: "We can only go as fast as Dunnes are going to go. But we can keep the pedal to the metal and hopefully we'll get where we want to go sooner rather than later."
