At around the halfway point of the meeting, Fine Gael Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer brought the subject to the attention of Kildare County Council in the form of a question.
Her question read as follows: “Can KCC outline the timeline for the installation of bus shelters in Kilcullen ?”
In response, KCC told Cllr O’Dwyer it ‘will liaise with the contractor/ designer for the works at Cross and Passion College in order to deliver a bus shelter at the conditioned bus stop, where feasible’.
KCC also said: “Additional bus stops in Kilcullen will be assessed for upgrade works, including bus shelters in 2027.”
