And now, at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, September 16 last, KCC told Cllr McDonnell that the crossing will be installed in the near future.
The matter was raised near the end of the meeting, when Cllr McDonnell asked KCC for an update in relation to the provision of the crossing.
In response, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “A pedestrian crossing will be provided in accordance with the Part VIII for the Newbridge Cemetery Car Park upgrade.”
“It is anticipated that these works will be completed by year end,” KCC added.
Cllr McDonnell replied by telling KCC that he welcomed the news, and also thanked KCC for agreeing to carry out request.
