A camper van used to ram a Garda patrol car in Donegal has been forfeited to the State for destruction.
The matter came before Letterkenny District Court in a police property application.
Garda Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that the camper van was seized after it was involved in a dangerous driving incident. The court was informed that the vehicle had rammed a patrol car in the course of the incident.
Sergeant Collins said that the registered owner of the vehicle had been advised of the application, but did not engage.
Judge Emile Daly granted an order for the disposal of the property.
