A public consultation relating to speed limits in one County Kildare region has been launched.

As noted by Newbridge -based councillor Peggy O’Dwyer (Fine Gael), Kildare County Council has officially launched the Proposed Supplementary Special Speed Limit Byelaws for ‘built up and urban areas’.

“Submissions can be made online at kildarecoco.ie or in writing to Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, County Kildare (W91 X77F),” she added.

Lastly, Cllr O’Dwyer emphasised that all submissions should be headed ‘Supplementary Special Speed Limit Byelaws for Built-Up and Urban areas 2026’.

The Draft Bye-Laws and maps can be viewed on the Kildare County Council Consultation Portal .
