There are plans to restrict vehicular traffic on one County Kildare bridge.
Kildare County Council (KCC) made the comments while replying to a question which was submitted by a local councillor at the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, June 17 last.

At approximately the halfway point of this meeting, Sinn Féin Cllr Noel Connolly asked KCC if it could provide a timeline for when it will close vehicular access to the High Bridge, which is located in Monasterevin.
In response, KCC said via the report it presented to the attendees of the meeting: “The Municipal District Office will arrange to have vehicular traffic restricted over High Bridge during the summer months.”
