The opening of a community cafe is bringing life back into a midlands village.

Volunteers at Rita’s Kitchen in Moneygall say it gives locals a place to come and have a chat.

It was opened three years ago in the former local shop, which had closed down.

One of the volunteers, Alison Hayes says the café carries a personal connection to the area:
