It is alleged the defendant produced an article in the course of a robbery at Tower Hill and at the Odeon Cinema, Church Street, Portlaoise
A LAOIS man who allegedly produced a wooden plank while allegedly robbing a woman was sent forward to the 23 June sitting of Portlaoise Circuit Criminal Court.
Stephen Lyons, Arlington Estate, Portarlington is charged with robbery and with the production of an article in the course of a robbery at Tower Hill and at the Odeon Cinema, Church Street, Portlaoise on 8 November last year.
Sending the 29-year-old forward to the Circuit Criminal Court, Judge Susan Fay advised the defendant that he must notify gardaí in writing within 14 days if he wished to rely on an alibi in his defence.
