There was a “huge turn out” in Killashee last Saturday March 14 for a free property marking event hosted by Longford Community Gardaí in conjunction with the Longford Community Safety Partnership. The event in Killashee. Pic: Longford Gardaí

Property marking involves engraving the owner’s Eircode onto valuable farm machinery, general equipment, and other valuable items using a specialist machine.

Property marking is also an effective method to help Gardaí identify and return stolen items recovered.

Attendees arrived at the property marking event and crime prevention advice day with various equipment such as trailers, farm equipment, quads, power washers, generators, boats and much more.
