We’re being encouraged to explore the cultural side of the county later this month.
Events featuring music, dance, film and more will be held all around County Wexford as part of Culture Night on the 18th of September.
Culture Night returns two weeks from Friday, from 4.00pm until late, when arts centres, libraries, heritage sites and community spaces will come alive for a night of free cultural experiences for all.
In Gorey there will be a short film showcase hosted by Screen Wexford from 6pm to 8pm at the Gorey School of Art.
A special talk on the battlefields and weapons of 1798 will take place at the rebellion centre in Enniscorthy from 6:30pm.
The Cumas Trad Band will be part of an exhibition at the Shambles in New Ross with the action kicking off there at 5pm.
While in Wexford the School of Ballet and the Performing Arts will put on a special performance in Selskar Square at 5:45pm.
All these events are free and more can be found on the Wexford County Council website.
The council says whether you want to discover local talent, try something new, explore our heritage or simply enjoy an evening out with family and friends, Culture Night is an opportunity to connect, create and celebrate the cultural richness of County Wexford.
