A business case will be developed to probe the need for a parking warden at one of East Clare’s busiest tourist locations.

It comes amid renewed local concerns over traffic congestion at Ballycuggeran near Lough Derg, which is reportedly obstructing residents, farmers and emergency services.

The Killaloe Municipal District has promised to explore the feasibility of the measure, with a focus on the financial and operational implications of the service.

Whitegate Fine Gael Councillor Pat Burke believes it’s a vital step to take.
