No funding for traffic calming at Letterkenny business park - Donegal News

THERE is no funding for traffic calming measures at Carrygally Business Park in Letterkenny, councillors have been told.

The issue arose at the May meeting of Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District.

Fianna Fáil Cllr Donal Coyle asked the council to consider traffic calming for the business park, located near Lismonaghan.

He said there are six thriving businesses at the retail park, however he added that the entrance and exit are “very blind coming from Lismonaghan”.

“There definitely needs to be signage there,” said Cllr Coyle.

“It’s not a big ask to erect a sign saying concealed entrance ahead”.

Cllr Coyle was informed that there is currently no funding for works at the location.

In the written response, he was told: “This section of roadway is located outside the speed limit and giving the nature of road, only measures that may be feasible at this location would be the provision of four additional signage.”
