The installation of extra speed ramps has been sought for one County Kildare housing estate.

The request, which was made by Independent councillor Tom McDonnell, was heard during the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, May 20 last.

Responding to Cllr McDonnell’s motion, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “The Municipal District Office will carry out a review of the existing traffic calming measures in Moanbane Park housing estate to determine if additional measures may be required.”

In addition, a representative for KCC who was also present at the meeting assured Cllr McDonnell: “It [the estate] is on the review list for traffic calming measures.”
