Two women have appeared in court charged with the theft of groceries from a Ballybofey supermarket.
Diaina Anghel and Rodica Rostas were before Letterkenny District Court.
The pair are each charged with the theft of €150 worth of groceries from Kavanagh’s SuperValu, Trusk Road, Ballybofey, on August 8, 2026.
Anghel, a 26-year-old of Main Street Convoy and Rostas, 31, of The Green, Convoy, are each represented by solicitor Mr Patsy Gallagher.
Sergeant Oliver Devaney gave evidence of the arrest, charge and caution of Anghel and Rostas by way of schedule. The court heard that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
An application by Mr Gallagher for a Romanian interpreter was granted by Judge Ciaran Liddy.
Mr Gallagher said that his clients would elect for the matter to be heard in the District Court.
