Portnablagh swim shelter restored after flooding - Donegal News

THE Portnablagh swim shelter has been restored to its original place after it was tilted over by recent flooding.
The “Dippers Den” shelter became unstable after flooding caused a trench of water to form underneath, tilting it from its spot on the beach.
Local councillor Michael McClafferty has praised the quick response of council teams in getting the shelter back in place.
He said: “I want to thank the Donegal County Council workers and contractor for their prompt response to place it again for the swimming team.”
The Dippers Den was launched last year by Dunfanaghy Dippers swimming club.
The project was delivered by Donegal Sports Partnership (DSP) through Sport Ireland’s Swimming Infrastructure Fund.
