During the presentation, a member of the Architectural Services division at Kildare County Council (KCC) explained that the funding was originally secured back in 2023 and added that the site, which is located on the Barrack Road in Balltore, will be redeveloped into six homes.
Of these six homes, three will be two-bed units, two will be one-bed units, and one will be a three-bed unit. There will also be 10 car parking spaces, and a currently unknown number of bicycle spaces.
The KCC rep also said that the new homes will be in line with KCC’s aim to promote family-friendly and age-friendly / accessible housing.
Furthermore, they revealed that the site has been cleared of any flooding risks and sewage-related issues.
