A councillor suggested the addition of a rowing machine to the outdoor gym at Bernard McGlinchey Park
Published 20th Jul 2026, 18:33 BST Donegal Live A councillor suggested the addition of a rowing machine to the outdoor gym at Bernard McGlinchey Park Calls have been made to source funding for a rowing machine at Bernard McGlinchey/Letterkenny Town Park.
The aim is to expand the outdoor gym, along with others in the county. The suggestion was brought by Fine Gael Councillor Jimmy Kavanagh and seconded by Sinn Féin Councillor Gerry McMonagle.

The council responded that they are committed to exploring all options for extending recreational provision at the park. In line with acknowledging the value of outdoor gym facilities in supporting health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles within the community.
