South Inishowen continues to remain the electoral area with the highest number of active applications to the Enhanced Defective Concrete Block Scheme in Donegal.

Figures confirmed by Donegal County Council show that, up to August 31st, there were 730 active applications from South Inishowen, with the Letterkenny Electoral Area coming in behind at 670 applications.

This is slightly above North Inishowen, which has had 657 applications, followed by Lifford/Stranorlar at 338 and Milford at 252.

The Glenties Electoral Area is significantly lower, at 66 applications, followed by the Donegal EA at 44.

The council, in a DCB Scheme overview up to August 31, confirmed there have been 3,991 online registrations in Donegal, with 2856 applications received.

A total of 1,538 have had an approved remediation option and grant amount issued, with works commenced on 1071.

Works have been completed on 434 and there are works ongoing in 637.
