Let's Talk with Dan Dooner was broadcast live from Ballaghaderreen in County Roscommon on Tuesday, September 1st.

Ballaghaderreen is a town that's 'bouncing back' following a controversial bypass in 2014 and the the closure of the local hotel, which is now used as an Emergency Reception and Orientation Centre for refugees.

Retailers and residents had previously accused the Government of abandoning the town, which they say is desperately in need of extra services.

There have been recent positive developments there including the reopening of the local library and a new Public Realm Enhancement project.

Guests included local Independent councillor Micheál Frain, Acting Town Team Chair Joe Egan, local businessman Pat Towey and Martina Durkan and Louise Thomas from the Family Resource Centre.
