A road closure will be in place due to upgrades to the water network in Letterkenny.

The works taking place around Woodlands, located along the L1142 Lisnennan Road from the Castleblane junction to Woodland Park, will involve the replacement and upgrade of approximately 1.5km of water mains.

The project is being delivered as part of Uisce Éireann’s Leakage Reduction Programme and will strengthen the performance of the local network. Due to the nature of the works, a road closure will be required along sections of the route, with local access arrangements maintained. As well as reducing the risk of bursts and leaks, the upgrade will increase network capacity to support new housing developments and meet growing demand in Letterkenny.

We would like to thank the local community for their patience while we deliver these essential improvements.”

Farrans Construction will deliver this important project on behalf of Uisce Éireann, with completion of the upgrade expected in late autumn this year. Uisce Éireann is responsible for delivering public drinking water and wastewater services for the people of Ireland.
