The motorcylist died following a collision between his bike and a car on the outskirts of the city
Shannon Sweeney The inquest into the death of a motorcyclist opened this week at Waterford Coroner’s Court.
County Coroner John P. Goff opened the inquest but due to the related criminal case, the matter was adjourned.
Mr Goff told the family they could have the inquest reopened if they wished at a later date.
Consultant Pathologist at University Hospital Waterford Dr Eimear Lee, who performed the postmortem said that the cause of death was severe traumatic injury.
The motorcyclist died on August 9, 2025, following a collision between his motorbike and a car on the outskirts of Waterford City.
