Co Cavan woman Caroline Van den Berg has highlighted the importance of looking after local wildlife, adding that it is more important now than ever before to limit the decline of certain species.

Caroline, is the co owner of the Wild Wardrobe in Cavan Town.

The wild wardrobe is the only store in the country that raises money that supports Irish wildlife.

Profits are pledged to Doletter Wildlife Rescue, Kildare Wilfife Rescue and Wildlife Rehabilitation Ireland.

Caroline warned that counties Cavan and Monaghan are a “grey zone” when it comes to wildlife rehabilitation due to a lack of volunteers.
