A Letterkenny man found in possession of cocaine has been ordered to make a contribution to charity.

A LETTERKENNY man found in possession of cocaine has been ordered to make a contribution to charity.

Sergeant Jim Collins told the court how on August 9, 2025 at 3.05am, gardaí on mobile patrol at Market Square in Letterkenny were alerted to the defendant Andrew Bradley.

Gardaí found cocaine to the approximate value of €50 on his person.

Bradley (31), 13 Tara Court, Letterkenny, was subsequently arrested and charged with unlawful possession of cocaine

The court was told Bradley made full admissions, and that the drug was for his own use. He has no previous convictions, the court heard. Solicitor Alison Parke said the incident with her client arose from stress at work.

“It was a one-off incident. He is of good character,” she said.

Ms Parke told the court that her client was a steel worker but was not employed at present.

She ordered Bradley to make a charitable donation of €300 to the White Oaks Rehabilitation Centre by July 6. Judge Daly warned that if Bradley fails to make the contribution by then, he will be convicted and fined €500.
