Fine Gael Cllr Peggy O'Dwyer | FILE PHOTO During the early stages of this meeting, Fine Gael Cllr Peggy O’Dwyer proposed that €2,000 worth of Local Property Tax (also known as LPT) funds should be allocated to Newbridge Family Resource Centre.
Cllr O’Dwyer, who used to sit on the centre’s Board of Management, wanted the funding in order to secure additional outdoor recreational and educational facilities for the premises.
Her proposal was seconded by her party colleague, Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer.
After a brief discussion, the allocation was agreed upon by both the MD’s members and Kildare County Council.
