East Clare Reportedly In "No Man’s Land" Following Roads Funding Allocation - News % Clare FM

It’s feared East Clare is in “no man’s land” when it comes to funding essential roads maintenance this year.

The local authority has revealed that the region will have just under €7.4 million for its schedule of municipal district works this year which is up 3% on its 2024 allocation.

The Killaloe Municipal District accounts for 28% of the county’s local and regional roads.

Maghera Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Hayes believes they could do with double that amount of money to make a meaningful dent in the problems on their roads network.
