Listen
Jamie Ryan attended a public meeting in Roundwood Parish Hall organised by Social Democrats TD Jennifer Whitmore, where members of the public and elected representatives raised concerns over the continued delays to the long-awaited 199 bus service.
The long-awaited 199 Local Link bus service was first announced in 2025 and was due to connect Glendalough, Laragh and Roundwood with Bray. Despite funding being secured, a bus operator being appointed and the procurement process being completed, the service has yet to begin. People attended a public meeting in Roundwood Parish Hall organised by Social Democrats TD Jennifer Whitmore to voice their frustration and hear updates on the campaign. Residents spoke about the impact the delays are having on education, employment, healthcare and social opportunities, while local public representatives pledged to work together to push for the service to be introduced.
