The subject was initially raised by Fine Gael Cllr Peggy O’Dwyer , when she submitted the following question to KCC: “Can KCC confirm if all the safety audit measures required have been completed on the Athgarvan Road, Newbridge as requested following the Safety Audit 2? “

In response to her query, KCC said via the report it presented at the meeting: “A Stage 3 Road Safety Audit was undertaken for the works on the Athgarvan Road.

“The works subject to the audit extended from approximately 30 metre north-west of the Athgarvan Road / Kilbelin Park T-junction to a point north of the access to the Little Harvard Belin Woods Creche.”
