A Newtowncunningham man has been fined €740 after being caught speeding twice in a fortnight by the same GoSafe van.
Scott Magee was convicted and fined at Letterkenny District Court.
Magee, of Heath Hill, Newtowncunningham, was detected on the N15 at Mullindrait, Stranorlar on November 24, 2025 and December 8, 2025.
On the first occasion, Magee was clocked travelling at 85km/h at 10.40pm and on the second he was driving at 80km/h at 3.25am.
The GoSafe operator gave evidence that a fixed charge penalty notice in respect of each matter had been sent to Magee, but were both unpaid.
Magee was not present in court nor was he legally represented when his case was called.
Judge Emile Daly fined Magee €380 for the November 24 matter and €360 for the December 8 incident. He was given four months to pay the fines.
