‘Hadn't she great misfortune to meet two of ye on the one day,” mused Judge Marie Keane in Nenagh District Court recently.

Aishling King of Cormack Drive, Nenagh, was detected by gardaí twice on December 5, 2025 for having expired tax on her vehicle. Following an MPR alert, both guards, one at 10.17am and another at 4.11pm in Nenagh, discovered that the tax on the vehicle had been expired for 157 days.

Judge Keane convicted Ms King for non-display of a tax disc and fined her €300 with four months to pay. The first offence for non-display of tax was struck out.
