It is expected the new gastro pub will be open to the public the second week in July.
A NEW gastro pub is set to open its doors in Mountmellick on 9 July after Judge Edward Carroll approved an application for a restaurant certificate for the premises.
The application in the name of Joanne Deegan was brought before the judge at last week’s sitting of Portlaoise District Court.
The court heard that renovations have just been completed on an extension of Turley’s Bar at Harbour Street, Ballycullenbeg in the town.
Judge Carroll was told that subject to his approval of the licence, it is expected the premises would be open to the public on the second week in July.
