Alleged criminal damages to cars Letterkenny

A LETTERKENNY man has appeared in court charged with criminal damage to two cars.

Paddy Kelly (26) of The Garden, Ballymacool, Letterkenny, was held in custody and charged with causing criminal damage to a Toyota Altezza at Dr McGinley Road and a BMW 520 at Leitir Ard, Letterkenny, on July 4, 2026.

Sergeant Jim Collins told the court that directions on the case were required from the Director of Public Prosecutions and that disclosure should be made to defending solicitor Mr Frank Dorrian. Sergeant Collins said directions could be expected by September 28 and had no objection to bail being granted.

Judge Emile Daly granted bail on strict conditions. The defendant must stay away from the affected properties on Dr McGinley Road and Leitir Ard, must not interfere with witnesses, must observe a curfew between 10pm and 8am, must not commit further offences and must remain sober. A €150 bail bond, nil cash was also ordered.
