Window on Wicklow Episode 68: Wicklow Sings for Health

Eight choirs from across County Wicklow came together for the first Wicklow Sings for Health event, celebrating the power of music to bring people together.

Eight choirs from across County Wicklow gathered at the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh for the first ever Wicklow Sings for Health event, marking World Singing Day. The event brought together community choirs and groups supporting people affected by cancer, Parkinson’s and dementia, alongside Ukrainian singers who have made Wicklow their home. Jamie Ryan went along to meet those involved, hear their stories and explore how singing can improve wellbeing, build friendships and create a sense of belonging.
