Apprentice plumber avoids driving ban
A YOUNG Milford apprentice plumber who needs his car for work, avoided a driving ban after being caught without insurance.
Finn Trearty (19) of Glentidaly, Milford, was stopped by Garda McDermott at Drumbrick, Termon on December 28 last year.
He represented himself in Letterkenny District Court on Monday last.
Judge Emile Daly told Trearty that his early guilty plea and first offence of having no insurance had spared him from an automatic two year driving ban.
The judge fined the young driver €300 with six months to pay.
