Donegal County Council is to ‘take in charge’ of a private housing estate in Killygordon.
Local Councillor, Patrick McGowan, said he welcomes the decision and said the local authority is engaging with both Stranorlar Roads Office and Uisce Éireann.
He said repair and surfacing works will be necessary to the roads and footpaths in the estate, along with repairs to walls and boundary fencing.
“A Site Resolution Plan has been agreed in consultation with Uisce Éireann, with repair works to the water and foul sewer network identified,” Cllr McGowan said.
“A contractor has been appointed and is scheduled to start works onsite in September to complete the repair works. Identified road surfacing works will be issued under a separate tender, and it is expected that all works will be completed, or near to completion, by the end of the year.”
