At around the halfway mark of this meeting, Fianna Fáil Paul Ward motioned for Kildare County Council (KCC) to assess and install appropriate signage at the entrance to School Street in Kilcock .
Cllr Ward explained that he wanted this done in order to ‘deter large trucks / Heavy Goods Vehicles from entering the street, due to repeated collisions and property damage arising from large vehicles being unable to safely negotiate the turn’.
In response to his motion, KCC told Cllr Ward that its Municipal District Office would review potential for signage at this location.
KCC added: “The Municipal District Engineer will meet with Cllr Ward on site to determine appropriate action required.”
