Revolut ignore solicitor

The solicitor informed Judge Kevin Staunton that the information he is seeking from Revolut is essential to advise and progress the case

Darragh Murphy A personal data request submitted to Revolut by a defence solicitor has “rather extraordinarily” been ignored by the digital banking platform.

The case involves Waterford man Patrick Lynch Jnr, of Parkswood, Passage East.

His defence solicitor appeared in court last week to explain the case to Judge Kevin Staunton. He said he submitted a data request to Revolut in order to obtain financial information from them to progress the case.

He further informed Revolut that if they do not reply, a complaint would be sent to the Data Protection Commission.
